Appalachian Trail Conservancy AT Data Book 2012
DESCRIPTION
All the details in the Trail's new length: 2,184.2 miles!
Thirty-fourth edition: an essential for A.T. hiking and planning. A consolidation of the basic information from all 11 A.T. guidebooks into a lightweight table of distances between major Appalachian Trail shelters, road crossings, and features--divided according to the guidebook volumes and updated each fall to account for relocations, new or removed shelters, and other changes. Also keyed to maps. Resembling a 20th-century railroad timetable with cumulative mileages on either side of the page, it has a north-to-south orientation. It is an essential aid in planning A.T. trips and is the source each December for the new official mileage of the Trail. Updated for 2012.
Compiled for the last 29 years by Daniel D. Chazin. Indispensable for hiking the A.T. 96 pages, paperback.
